Concrete investigations with GPR are carried out in order to detect rebars and inhomogeneities. Therefore high frequency antennas in the Gigahertz range are applied that allow determination of detected structures with a very high accuracy.

Compared to other methods the great advantage of GPR is the capability of high-resolution-surveying large areas in a relative short time.

GPR is applied as well in the domain of quality assurance as in the evaluation of old constructions.
